Activities - 2008:

The
following is our list of activities for the 2008 season. We have listed
major "theme" weekends and special events, plus we often have additional
activities to those listed. Be sure to call or write for more specifics
throughout the season. For photos of some of the previous years' events,
click on any of the links below.

| May 2nd | Annual Clean Up Weekend, Come camp with us for free. Sat. morning we organize a camp wide spring clean up. Sat. night is our first Pot Luck of the season (bring a dish). Friday night and Sunday Morning sit back, relax and kick off your camping season. |
| May 10th | Our open house, with free coffee, cocoa, and Olde Fashioned donuts. If you can not camp with us, at least stop by and check us out. |
| May 11th | Mothers Day pancake breakfast. |
| May 23rd | Pool opens for the season |

Day Weekend |
(May
23rd - 26th) Join us as we kick off summer at the camp with a craft
fair / yard sale. "Make your own sundae" ice cream social, hay rides, horseshoe, dart, and shuffleboard tournaments (bring your darts), T-Shirt coloring, and Sat. night is the return of "The Pink Ladies" 1950's Sock Hop! (Dress The Part!). **Holiday weekend rates apply** |
| June 7th | Breakfast Pot Luck Dinner..... Bring a Breakfast themed Dish. Creativity abounds at this event! |
| June 15th | Fathers Day pancake breakfast. |
| June 28th | By Popular Demand....... Our Annual Clambake & Lobster Fest is back. Tickets must be purchased by Sat 21st. (limited seating for this event) |
| 4th
of July Weekend |
Carnival
at the park. Make your own sundae,
hay rides, horseshoe
and dart tournaments, frozen T-shirt contest, moon walk, cotton candy, face painting, balloon twisting clown, evening entertainment. Also decorate your site with your patriotic spirit as we celebrate the 4th of July **Holiday weekend rates apply** |
| July 12th | Your birthday party. (O.K. ours too, we are 43 years old this year). One big party for everyone! Come enjoy cake and ice cream with us. |
| July 19th | Our
2nd Annual "Iron Chef Pot Luck Dinner" Call one week before
for the secret ingredient / voting & prize to winner! |
| July 26th | Holidays In July- Holiday Themes abound, as everyone is invited to decorate their site i the holiday of their choice. There will be an Easter egg hunt. Santa makes his annual visit to the Monadnock region. (Parents bring a wrapped marked gift for Santa to give your child.) We add a little Irish Blarney with a St. Patrick's Day "Corn Beef Dinner". |
| Aug 9th | Our
20th annual Steamship
Rounds, we cook two or three steamship rounds weighing in at about
75 pounds each. Slow cooked on a spit over charcoal producing some of the
best beef you will ever have. The beef is served up with chowder, native
corn on the cob, potatoe and macaroni salads, rolls, dessert, and ice tea.
Since cooking is limited to our spit capacity, tickets are limited. We suggest
making reservations for this weekend in advance. In 2007 we served 165 people! |
| Aug 23rd | Dessert Potluck! We provide a "Free Hot Dog BBQ". You just need to bring a home made desert for the 16 foot dessert table.. Join us to make your Sweet Tooth Happy! |

29th - Sept 1st) Plan to join us for our craft fair / yard sale on Saturday.
It is always well attended by the "locals". In addition there are "Make
Your Own" sundaes, hay rides,
T-Shirt coloring, entertainment, horseshoe,

| Sept 20th | Our annual Thanksgiving pot luck supper. We supply and cook four or more turkeys and all you have to do is bring your favorite Thanksgiving dish. This activity is free for all attending. Please sign up in advance and let us know what you'll be bringing. Join us for the evening of Music & Bonfire! |
| Oct 4th | Our 4th Annual Hobo Stew. Hosted by our seasonals |
| Columbus
Day Weekend |
(Oct
10th - 13th) Our annual Hallowween & Customer Appreciation Weekend
has grown to one of the busiest of the year. It is an opportunity for
us to thank all the campers who make our business grow. We start with free
coffee and our olde fashioned donuts. The youngsters, and some oldsters
also, enjoy our halloween
parade with "Trick or Treat" activities. Bring a large bag of
goodies, since you can expect up to a hundred costumed goblins. Pumkin
carving and lighting! We have a Haunted Hay ride for all who
dare. This gives you the opportunity to see the sites
decorated in a Halloween theme by most of our campers.(ther will
be an award for this). We also serve up our customer appreciation dinner.
Returning for the third year in a row - Wood carving
demonstrations by "Shack Out Back" wood carvings. **Holiday weekend rates apply** |

In
addition to these major activities, on a weekend to weekend basis (weather
& staff permitting) we arrange Hay Rides,
Ice Cream Socials, Food
Events, Bonfires, Entertainment, and
more. Campers are always welcome to hold their own events too. Just keep
an eye on the camp Bulletin Board outside the store for any "last minute"
announcements. (Schedule subject to change)
